About Coach Cheryl

Helping teens identify their strengths and increase self-awareness is my lifework.

The most valuable lesson of my circuitous path as an educator is staying present. I appreciate intuitive ways of knowing (stuff you can’t Google!), and understanding human nature through behavioral and thought patterns; I am fascinated about why we procrastinate, what motivates us, and how we react to stress.

Clarity and perspective often require a mindful shift and a space to allow that to happen. If you’ve tried to do mindset shifts yourself, you know how hard it can be to do on your own. And with teens, it’s even more important to have someone they can work with one-on-one.

I’d love to be your teen’s guide.

(I’m an open book!)

I am a credentialed high school teacher with a master’s degree in Integrative Health and a wellness coaching certificate; I received a certificate in teen life coaching, a BA in English, and I am a registered yoga teacher and a dedicated Ashtanga Yoga practitioner.

My experience as a high school teacher and supporting others has greatly informed how I manage self-care. I keep it realistic, but also make it a priority. I live in San Francisco with my husband, and two children: one’s successfully off to college in New York (yay!) and the other starting the process (I feel your pain!).

I am a plant mom, dog mom, and cat mom. I moved to San Francisco from New York in 1992, and I still love being a tourist.
